[The becoming and development of the academic subject and scientific discipline "public health and health care organization" (to the centenary of the academician Yu. P. Lisitsyn Chair of Public Health and Health Care). Report I (beginning of XX century - 1963)].

The article presents analysis of becoming of academic subject and scientific discipline "Public Health and Health Care Organization" in Russia from beginning of the 20th century to 1963. The special attention was paid to the role in their becoming and development that played the Chair of Public Health and Health Care Organization of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University that is celebrating its centenary in 2023-2024 academic year. The contribution into this process of its prominent scientists and heads is considered.

[The Social Hygienic Aspects of Prevention of Abortions].

The article presents results of analysis of medical social aspects of artificial abortion. It is established that women with abortion in anamnesis suffer of unsatisfactory health condition in 35.5% of all cases. In the control group number of women with such a condition was 2.1 times less (p<0.05). The women with abortions are not aware about contraceptives and assume that abortions are safer in 2.1 times more often than women in control group. To prevent occurrence of undesired pregnancy it is necessary to enhance sanitary education concerning application of contraceptives and to provide possibility of free provision of articles.

[The Medical Social Efficiency of Rehabilitation of Patients Having Cerebral Stroke in Ambulatory Conditions].

The article substantiates efficiency of medical social rehabilitation activities in out-patient conditions on the basis of study of health conditions, life-style and medical care organization of patients with ischemic stroke. The obtained data demonstrated a higher efficiency of complex rehabilitation therapy. The efficient application of possibilities of out-patient polyclinic institution increases the level of physiological, psychological and social adaptation of patients.

[Medico-social rehabilitation of patients, invalids and the elderly]. / Mediko-sotsial'naia reabilitatsiia bol'nykh, invalidov i lits pozhilogo vozrasta.

In the USSR documents have been adopted determining the necessity of organising in the country a medicosocial rehabilitation service for patients, invalids and elderly persons; practical, research and public organizations concerned with the realization of different rehabilitation aspects have been established and have been operating. It is advisable to conduct rehabilitation of the given populations on the basis of experience gained in this field in developed countries and international organizations.
